Cannabis Juice is a Delicious Drink Alternative

Cannabis juice is a great way to get more fibre, cannabinoids, and vitamins into your morning.

Consuming raw cannabis is a new health trend with great potential benefits!  Cannabis juice is easy to make at home and the result is a nutrient-rich beverage that offers unique health benefits. You’ll be able to access cannabinoids, like THCa and CBDa, that are not available after cannabis is decarboxylated.

Cannabis Juice Will Not Get You High

THC is the main intoxicating cannabinoid that gives that feeling of euphoria and happiness. In the raw form of cannabis, THC appears as THCa (a non-intoxicating acid). Decarboxylating THCa requires heat, hence the lack of “high” when consuming cannabis juice. Be warned, however, that if you are going to juice flower (buds), there can be trace amounts of THC from the natural conversion of THCa during the curing process.

Something else to think about – if you have the option to grow at home, that’s perfect, because then you can be assured that the plant material you put into your juicing machine is clean and free of pesticides. If not, it is recommended that you thoroughly wash the leaves before juicing.

Cannabis Juice is a Nutritional Powerhouse

Cannabis is high in fiber, which helps create a healthy and efficient digestive system, benefiting the immune system, and potentially improving your overall mental health. Raw cannabis also contains a variety of vitamins and minerals, including folates, iron, and calcium. It acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, fighting against chronic pain and other conditions inflammation causes.

Raw cannabis is classified as a super food for its antioxidant properties. This means that it can clear the free radicals that bounce around your body wreaking havoc and potentially causing cancer. Antioxidants also support immune function, cardiovascular health, memory, and mood.

Why Cannabis Juice?

Juicing is the best way to get the benefits of raw cannabis because it breaks down and concentrates the healing elements. The result is a highly concentrated mix of cannabiniod acids (such as THCa), terpenes, and flavonoids that improve cell function and mop up free radicals.

The following are stories are from cannabis advocates that actively consume cannabis juice to keep their disease at bay:

Landon Riddle‘s cancer journey became famous across the world when Landon’s mother was forced, by CPS, to return him to chemotherapy treatment.  Doctors diagnosed Landon with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when he was just 2 years old. After receiving massive amounts of chemotherapy, opioids, and other medications for side effects, Landon was dying. The treatments were killing him. Riddle’s mother decided to try cannabis. Now, six years later, Riddle is alive, his cancer is in remission and he continues to take a maintenance dose of raw cannabis, as well as capsules of oil for the residual side effects of his past cancer treatments.

Coltyn Turner

Coltyn Turner

Coltyn Turner has used raw cannabis and cannabis oil to treat severe Crohn’s Disease. This is a life-limiting, and sometimes life-threatening, inflammatory bowel disease. The results are severe pain, diarrhea, and damage to the intestinal lining. Often, sufferers of Crohn’s face high fevers and weight loss. The disease disrupts and disturbs their entire life. Turner found out that cannabis could help him get back to living a normal life. Then he found out that it could put his Crohn’s into remission! Cotlyn testified before Colorado state legislature in order to defend his choice of medicine while only 15 years old. Coltyn takes cannabis oil daily along with cannabis juice.

Kate Marsh

Kate Marsh juiced cannabis to help the symptoms of her rheumatoid arthritis. The side effects of prescription drugs were severe without improving in her overall condition. Kate decided to look into other options. After learning from a friend about cannabis juice, Marsh decided to try it to help with her own condition. She claims that her symptoms of pain and inflammation were greatly improved.

How to Make Raw Cannabis Juice

Cannabis juice has a bitter taste and is best made with the addition of other fruits or vegetables. The very easiest way to make a healthy cannabis juice is to process the leaves ahead of time. Using a juicer or food processor, whiz leaves into a pasty pulp. Add enough water to make a think paste with the consistency of a milkshake. This can then be poured into an ice cube tray and frozen.

On juice-making day, use two cubes. Add in the fruit of choice, such as 1/2 a mango and banana or 1/2 cup strawberries and 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 cup of full fat yogurt, 1 tbsp honey, and a little squeeze of lemon. Process and enjoy!

Finding the leavers to make cannabis juice is not always easy. If you can grow your own, that is the perfect scenario. If not, try partnering with someone who does grow, or even a local dispensary. Both of these may normally toss their trimmings and may be happy to pass these along.
