CBD CAPSULES & SOFTGELS FAQ
What are the benefits to taking CBD in a capsule?
Using easy-to-swallow capsules gives patients a convenient format that is discrete and ready for travel. Additionally, there is exact dosing in a pill that is odorless and tasteless.
What are CBD softgels used for?
There is an important difference between capsules and soft gels. These are not the same thing. A soft gel has a gelatin-based shell. Capsules, however, can be made from a vegetable source and therefore are vegan. People use these for the same reason one might take CBD oil. Studies indicate CBD may be useful for aiding in the management of everyday stress, maintaining healthy sleep, and recovery from exercise-induced inflammation.
Do you sell full spectrum CBD capsules?
RxLeaf sells broad spectrum CBD that contains all the natural substances found in the plant, except for THC (less than 0.3%)
Can I use CBD capsules for dogs?
Animals have an endocannabinoid system and studies show they may benefit from CBD in the areas of inflammation and canine anxiety. There is, however, still no clinical evidence from dogs to support these preclinical claims. If your veterinarian recommends CBD for your pet, CBD oil is likely an easier format than capsules.
How much CBD is in CBD capsules and softgels?
These typically come in 10mg, 25mg, and 50mg strengths. Please check the label and information on the website prior to purchasing as CBD strength will vary from company to company and even product to product within the same.
Are CBD capsules better than CBD oil or drops?
None is better than any other, although the bioavailability will be impacted by the format. Sublingual drops, for example, bypass the liver, and therefore have faster results. All, however, contain the same CBD oil product and it’s generally up to individual preference.
Can you get high off CBD capsules or softgels?
CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid. You will not feel high after consuming CBD capsules or softgels.
Can I take CBD capsules for anxiety or depression?
There are currently studies underway into the possible health benefits of CBD. While promising, these are largely still in the pre-clinical phase (rodent models) with the exception of CBD as an antipsychotic which has successfully passed in a small human clinical trial.
How does CBD work in the body?
Cannabidiol (CBD) works with the endocannabinoid system, but has a low affinity for cannabinoid receptors that would bind THC. Instead, recent studies show that CBD acts on non-cannabinoid receptors, like 5-HT1A and GABA-A, among others. The response of the body to the presence of CBD is under heavy investigation, including for use in killing pain, reducing inflammation, and fighting cancer. There are no definitive answers yet.
Is the CBD in RxLeaf CBD capsules natural?
Yes. We use a broad spectrum CBD product from American-grown hemp.
